Heard Island is a beautiful and wild island paradise located in the God’s Pocket Marine Provincial Park. It is 20 minutes by boat or 10 minutes by sea-plane from Port Hardy, the largest city in northern Vancouver Island, at the northern tip of the famous scenic Inside Passage. Here you can watch the Cruise ships on their route from Seattle or Vancouver to Alaska.
The area around the island paradise is known for its excellent salmon fishing as well as good bottom fishing for cod and snapper. And it’s a favourite spot for whale and marine wildlife watching. Jacques Cousteau once called this the best cold water diving in the world. The island terrain is varied with several outstanding building sites close to the ocean. A large protected bay provides good deep water moorage potential.
