Located in the heart of the picturesque landscape of Castilla La Mancha, Spain, there is an exceptional estate that captures the essence of timeless grandeur and rugged natural beauty: El Casarejo.
The origins of this property date back to its acquisition in 1870 by the Marquis of Villabragima, who purchased lands that had previously belonged to the Catholic Church. Over the years, the property changed hands until 1975 when it was purchased by the renowned businessman and politician Jose LLado, in partnership with another entrepreneur friend, with the exclusive purpose of dedicating it to hunting.
With its vast size, it became one of the largest hunting estates in all Spain. Significant investments were made, improving the buildings, fencing the perimeter and managing the wildlife to achieve both quantity and quality of red stag, wild boar and roe deer.
Thanks to these efforts, El Casarejo gained prestige as a great hunting estate and its “monterias” (driven hunts) became famous, attracting important personalities and dignitaries from Spain and around the world.
Today, the estate is entirely owned by the LLado family, who have continued the work of genetic improvement of the deer, which is reflected in the quality of trophies obtained season after season.
